CHRISTMAS BUYING GUIDE
How to choose an artificial Christmas tree for a small room
Measure the space you actually have, including room to walk past the tree and reach any nearby doors or cupboards.
Measure height and width
Measure from floor to ceiling where the tree will stand. Allow space for the topper, then compare that height with the assembled dimensions. Measure the width at floor level and check both the branch spread and the footprint of the stand.
Choose the shape that fits
A slim tree can fit a narrow corner. A shorter tree can make more sense under a sloping ceiling. If you choose pre-lit, check the cable length and where the plug sits before deciding on a spot.
Check how it packs away
Compare the packed dimensions with your cupboard or loft access. Check whether the tree breaks into sections and whether a storage bag is included.
